How it works

How to use it: select two or four overheads, then enter the ear-to-ceiling geometry and preferred elevation angle.

Formula. Horizontal offset = (ceiling height - ear height) / tan(elevation angle).

Example. With a 1.65 m vertical rise and 45-degree elevation, each four-channel row is 1.65 m forward or behind the listener.

Can two overhead speakers go directly above the seat?

This planner centres a two-channel pair over the listening position. Speaker documentation may recommend a small forward offset depending on the system and room.
