Calculadora de Área de Panel Acústico
Compare el área frontal del panel y la absorción estimada con el área de superficie de la sala usando un objetivo de referencia ingresado explícitamente.
Effective coverage multiplies panel face area by the entered absorption coefficient. Use the coefficient for the frequency band that matters, not a marketing average.
How it works
How to use it: enter the room dimensions, subtract openings, then enter a reference coverage percentage and one panel size. The percentage is a quantity comparison, not a treatment prescription.
Formula. Panel count = ceiling(net room surface x target / panel effective area).
Example. A 0.6 by 1.2 m panel with coefficient 0.85 contributes 0.612 metric sabins.

The result above uses these exact values. This snapshot is included when the page is printed so the output can be checked against the original measurements.
- Room length
- 5.5 m
- Room width
- 4.2 m
- Room height
- 2.7 m
- Doors/windows
- 4 m²
- Effective coverage
- 20 %
- Panel width

- Panel height
- 1.2 m
- Absorption coefficient
- 0.85
Primary result: Panels for entered target: 31.
Before using the result
- Measure from the datum or reference edge described by this tool, and do not mix inside, outside and centerline dimensions.
- Keep inputs in the displayed units and preserve more precision than the final cutting or purchasing tolerance requires.
- When the result is close to a limit, verify it with a test piece, field measurement, manufacturer drawing or qualified project professional.
Limitations
Coverage percentage is a materials estimate, not an acoustic diagnosis. Panel placement, thickness, air gap, scattering, bass trapping and frequency-specific coefficients determine performance. Do not cover reflective surfaces blindly.
Frequently asked questions
Should floors and ceilings count?
They are included in gross surface area. If you only plan to treat walls, set a target with that practical scope in mind and use the result as a quantity comparison.
