Ultrawide Monitor Equivalent Calculator

Vergelijk een ultrawide monitor met 16:9-schermen op dezelfde fysieke hoogte of breedte en met een randloze dual-screen opsplitsing.

16:9 at same height27.3in diagonal
16:9 at same width35.9in diagonal
Two screens filling width20.6in each

Same-height comparison is usually the clearest way to compare vertical workspace. The dual-screen figure ignores bezels and assumes each half keeps the ultrawide panel height.

Werking

How to use it: enter the advertised diagonal, physical aspect ratio and native resolution of an ultrawide display.

Method. The same-height 16:9 diagonal preserves panel height; the same-width comparison preserves overall width.

Example. A 34-inch 21:9 display has roughly the height of a 27-inch 16:9 display, with extra width.

Vóór gebruik van het resultaat

  • Measure from the datum or reference edge described by this tool, and do not mix inside, outside and centerline dimensions.
  • Keep inputs in the displayed units and preserve more precision than the final cutting or purchasing tolerance requires.
  • When the result is close to a limit, verify it with a test piece, field measurement, manufacturer drawing or qualified project professional.

Beperkingen

Nominal 21:9 panels often use a more precise ratio such as 43:18. Curvature, bezels, scaling and pixel density affect practical equivalence. Dual-screen comparison does not model a centre bezel.

Veelgestelde vragen

Is 3440 by 1440 exactly 21:9?

No. Its pixel ratio is about 2.389:1, while 21:9 simplifies to 2.333:1. Enter the physical ratio supplied for the panel when known.
