Monitor Kijkafstand Calculator

Combineer een maximaal horizontaal gezichtsveld met een minimum aantal pixels per graad om een praktische bureau-afstand te bepalen.

Distance for angle38.3in
Distance for PPD22.3in
Angle at recommendation40.0deg

The recommendation uses the farther of your field-of-view and angular-density limits. Convert it into a comfortable range around the result and adjust for text scaling and posture.

Werking

How to use it: enter monitor resolution and diagonal, then set the widest comfortable horizontal angle and lowest acceptable angular pixel density.

Method. The calculator solves distance independently for both limits and selects the farther distance.

Example. A high-resolution monitor may meet 60 PPD closer than it meets a conservative 40-degree field-of-view limit.

Vóór gebruik van het resultaat

  • Measure from the datum or reference edge described by this tool, and do not mix inside, outside and centerline dimensions.
  • Keep inputs in the displayed units and preserve more precision than the final cutting or purchasing tolerance requires.
  • When the result is close to a limit, verify it with a test piece, field measurement, manufacturer drawing or qualified project professional.

Beperkingen

Ergonomics also depend on eyesight, text size, prescription lenses, desk depth, task type and monitor height. This is not medical advice; persistent strain warrants professional assessment.

Veelgestelde vragen

Why not use diagonal multiples?

Diagonal-only rules ignore resolution and aspect ratio. Angle and PPD expose the two separate geometric constraints.
