Practical tools for measured work
Sofa Through Door & Hallway Route Checker
Screen upright, on-back and end-first sofa orientations against a doorway and the route's narrowest clearance.
This is a conservative rectangular-envelope screen. A positive result is a candidate route, not a delivery guarantee.
How it works
The sofa is tested upright, on its back and end-first. Each orientation must clear the door width and height and the route’s narrowest horizontal clearance.

Before using the result
- Measure from the datum or reference edge described by this tool, and do not mix inside, outside and centerline dimensions.
- Keep inputs in the displayed units and preserve more precision than the final cutting or purchasing tolerance requires.
- When the result is close to a limit, verify it with a test piece, field measurement, manufacturer drawing or qualified project professional.
Limitations
Real sofas are not rectangular boxes and complex pivots can sometimes pass when this conservative check says no - or fail because of frames, legs, railings, ceiling slopes or an L-shaped turn. Measure the actual removable parts and every route segment; use a cardboard profile when close.
Frequently asked questions
Can I remove the feet or cushions?
Yes. Enter the resulting rigid-frame dimensions only if those parts can genuinely be removed before moving.
