Verificador de Tamaño de Impresión y DPI de Imagen
Inspeccione una imagen localmente y vea su tamaño de impresión, PPI efectivo y ajuste a tamaños de papel.

How it works
How to use it: choose a raster image (JPG, PNG or WebP). The browser reads its pixel dimensions locally, then shows physical sizes at 150, 240 and 300 pixels per inch and estimates effective PPI on common paper sizes.
DPI vs PPI. The two terms are used interchangeably for digital images, and this checker answers either question. PPI (pixels per inch) is the technically correct term for a digital file's density; DPI (dots per inch) strictly describes a printer's dot output, which can differ from the file's PPI. This tool reports PPI, calculated directly from the image's actual pixel dimensions.
Formula. Print width in inches = pixel width / PPI, and millimetres = inches x 25.4. Paper effective PPI is the lower of the horizontal and vertical pixel densities when the whole sheet is covered.
Worked example. A 3000 x 2400 image prints at 10 x 8 inches at 300 PPI, or 20 x 16 inches at 150 PPI.
Limitations
PPI is a geometric density, not a complete quality score. Focus, compression, noise, viewing distance, printer resolution, scaling and paper all affect the result. Embedded DPI metadata does not add pixels, so this tool bases calculations on actual pixel dimensions. This checker reads image files directly; it does not open PDFs.
Frequently asked questions
Is my image uploaded?
No. The file is decoded inside your browser. ToolHuts does not send it to a server.
Is 300 PPI always required?
No. It is a common close-view print target, while larger prints viewed farther away can look good at lower effective PPI.
Is DPI the same as PPI for an image file?
For practical purposes, yes - most people use "DPI checker" to mean the same thing as PPI for a digital image. This tool calculates PPI directly from pixel dimensions, which is the more accurate term for a file that hasn't been printed yet.
